For a long time, I thought that blogs were boring and that I’d rather watch Youtube videos. Luckily, some blogs have made me change my mind, and today I would like to share some of these blogs with you. Most of them are in English but a couple of them are in French, so I apologize to my non-French readers for that. And of course, most of these blogs are book blogs, but not only…
This And That
I have just come back from a 4 days trip to Copenhagen and I feel like telling you a bit about this wonderful city. This post is going to be in-between travel diary and city guide, and I hope it will make you feel like visiting Copenhagen and give you some useful tips and info if you’re planning to visit this city in the near future.
Staying in Copenhagen
The first thing I need to warn you about is how expensive this city is. If you are on a budget, Copenhagen is not the destination to go for. Apart from that, people in Copenhagen are quite welcoming and speak an amazing english so you will not be in any trouble to communicate with them.
Today is probably one of the last days I can rightfully post a 2017 New Resolutions/Projects blog post so here it is! I love taking resolutions every New Year and I decided to stick to the rule for this new year. My main resolution as a reader is to take more risks and broaden my reading horizon, and I want to it to be obvious on this blog.
Christmas is coming and maybe some of you are still to finish their Christmas shopping. I thought this would be a good time to be a bit materialistic, try to forget that the world terribly sucks at the moment and post a last minute Gift Guide for book lovers here. I need a bit of thoughtlessness and I’m sure you do too. Let’s start with the beautiful books – picture above!
Just a quick article to talk to you about one of my favourite bookshops in London: Gosh!
Gosh! is specializing in comics and graphic novels. Basically, in London, there are two famous bookshops specializing in comics and graphic novels (maybe they are simply the only ones? Hopefully not! Please let me know if you know any others!) : Gosh! and Orbital Comics. I did not have the chance to go to Orbital Comics very often so I couldn’t tell you much about it, but I am a big fan of Gosh! and I love going there just for the pleasure of browsing.
I have not been very present over the last weeks but I am back with an article to share some gems with you, hopefully you’ll like it! If you are living in England and love books, you probably already know Booktube. For my French friends, this may not be the case. I know some Booktubers have started to emerge in France lately but I believe that they are far from being as big as here in the Anglo-Saxon world. And, because I am living in England, I am following some of these English-speaking Booktubers from very close I must say.
I had no idea Booktube existed until about a year ago. And this discovery changed my life, literally. Thanks to the Booktubers I watch, my To-Be-Read list has kept growing and growing. These people are so passionate about books that their advice and opinions are most of the time much more interesting to hear than those from some remote newspaper reviewers for instance.
